A pox on them

Iceland has decided that it’s OK to kill whales. Yesterday they slaughtered a fin whale. Fin whales are an endangered species. How can this be OK? The Japanese, the Faroese and the Norwegians also think it’s OK to kill whales. I disagree. There are no good reasons to kill whales, any whale, any where. Products derived from whaling can now be produced by other means, and the old ‘awww, it’s our tradition’ argument makes me puke.

I shall avoid visiting any of these countries until they stop killing whales.
