|In preparation for going to Denmark next week to look at the country’s ancient Bronze Age and Neolithic heritage I invested in this little book pictured left: James Dyer’s ‘Discovering Archaeology in Denmark’, published in 1972. Almost ancient in its own right. I started leafing through it last night and got quite excited – in the way only a Stone-Hugger can – at all the ancient wonders I would discover. Tombs! Dolmens! Barrows! Megalithic longships! Viking runestones!|
Imagine my surprise then when I turned to the acknowledgement page and noted that two giants of corporate America had assisted the author with transport way back in the early 70s!
