Cropredy festival folk

Last year I blogged about the remarkable ambience at the Cropredy festival, so please forgive me for repeating myself a bit, but it is an overwhelming feature of this festival that shines through.

You can wear anything, eat anything, be anything you like. Be as chilled, active or motionless as you like. Lose a wallet, a teddy or even a child and you can bet it’ll be returned to you.

Bring your friends and family. I brought my friend Helena, son Rupert and husband Moth:

Have a beer:

Bring a creative ‘flag’ to mark where you are on the field:

Bring some binoculars so you can enjoy what’s going on on stage:

Bring a hat to protect yourself from the sun:

…or wear a silly hat. If you haven’t got one, you can buy one there:

Harmless lunacy is encouraged. This guy wore a pretty cotton shift dress and walked through the crowd talking into a banana:
