Crikey, I have been quiet haven’t I? But I’ve been busy doing stuff like helping to launch a campaign about women and work and failing my motorcycle test, damnit! I’ve also been working on paintings mostly commissioned as a result of my recent exhibition; paintings of the Rollright stones, another painting of the Green Man (which I could have sold ten times over) and thinking about my next painting of hares.
The appetite for my paintings of Uffington’s White Horse is as strong as ever – I could paint nothing but White Horse Hill and sell the lot, but that would actually be quite boring for me. Instead I try not to paint too many so that my ideas about it remain fresh. Here’s the latest offering, it’s called Flying Horse and features a skylark on its ascent:
