More Moon Cat magic

16 May 2007 / in about art, general stuff

Last year I told you about my friend Mooncat, who is a photographer living and working in Manchester. I showed you some of his work. I love his careful observations – sometimes of the most fleeting of moments – and the extraordinary way he views his world. A couple of weeks ago, he sent me a CD of some more of his work. Here are a few that I’d like to share with you:

Homewards, Waterloo

Lovely composition a real van Gogh feel to this one. All that blue sky, swirling clouds and yellow lantern…

Mirrorball Universe

I just love mirrorballs, but to get the sparkle and clarity like that is wonderful.

Tiger lake

Mmmm! Colour!

Fat droplet

Just lovely.

Generation gap

Very nicely seen and a great title

Rain girl

You can almost feel that Manchester rain as this girl hurries along to get indoors.

Stars in the trees

Oh! Just so goddamned pretty!

Blue sprayed shoes

Secret cig

Tempting. I’ve been there.

I hope you like his like his work as much as I do. If you’d like to get in touch with Moon Cat, email him at russbloor (at)
